I was sixty years old when I first met Ashley. I had decided to work on my life long fear of horses and was in complete shock that I suddenly owned Dancer, an Appaloosa mare. I knew nothing about owning, riding or even really being with a horse. The first few lessons I often ran out of the arena in panic as my previously docile (shutdown) horse suddenly woke up in the expert hands of Ashley's guidance. Ashley helped me overcome my fear, learn the language and find confidence. Today Dancer and I are playing at liberty and learning to truly dance together. What a gift.
